Chess is Life

There are enthusiastic parents at every school who would like to have chess, but it is a big effort to take on. This is where Championship Chess® comes in. We currently have paid professional coaches teaching chess in almost 40 schools and would be willing to assist you.

The plan is simple.

  1. Get permission from the principal to have the club anchess classd enlist parent participation.
  2. Send a flyer out to every student to find out how many parents would be interested in an after-school chess program at the school.
Don't give specifics (e.g., day of the week); these willl need to be decided later.
Ask for parents who could volunteer to assist in supervisioning the group.
Ask for e-mail addresses so parents can be notified when a planning meeting is scheduled.
  3. At the meeting, the group will decide:
Who runs the club: paid coaches who come in or parent volunteers.
What day of the week to meet.

A Championship Chess® representative will be glad to attend the meeting and assist the group to get started, whether with volunteer parents or with our organization.
